Vintage Porcelain Floral Teacups - Mismatched Patterns - Set of Three

Vintage Porcelain Floral Teacups - Mismatched Patterns - Set of Three

{HISTORY}

Always in bloom no matter the season, this trio of vintage porcelain teacups feature the prettiest mismatched florals in shades of pink, purple, and green. Delicate, colorful, and full of cottage charm, this trio is lovely for all moments of the day, from the first drop of sunlight to the last stars kissed goodnight.

They are also especially pretty for garden parties, book club gatherings, and long, lazy weekend brunches when endless cups of tea, coffee, and conversation wind their way around the table and the time.

Complimentary as a set thanks to recurring color palettes, each cup also retains its own distinct personality. One boasts a big pink rose, another a trail of tiny tea roses, and the third a flower in shades of pink, magenta, and grey,

Luxury Bavarian porcelain-maker, Hutschenreuther, made the cup with the tiny tea roses, but the other two are unmarked: mystery travelers sailing the seas of time with both beauty and brightness. Most likely all made during the mid-20th century, each features floral swaths on both the front and back side of the cup, offering a pretty garden-view from all directions.

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

  • Colors include pale pink, bubblegum, magenta, pine green, celadon, moss, dove grey, pale blue, lavender, sage, butter, and blueberry
  • Mismatched set of three
  • One cup is stamped with the Hutschenreuther mark dating to the 1960s
  • Porcelain

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition, all these cups are bright and colorful and contain no chips or cracks. The gold striping on two of the cups is wearing around the rim. The cup with the magenta floral contains a manufacturing flaw under the glaze on the inside near the bottom that has left a small grey mark. That cup also contains a tiny pencil-point size brown dot, which is a mineral mark found naturally in kaolin clay and often appears on porcelain pieces. Please see photos.

{SIZE}

The Hutschenreuther cup measures 3.5 inches in diameter x 2" inches in height and weighs 3.3 oz. The other two cups each measure 3.75" inches in diameter x  just under 2.25" inches (height) and weigh 3.4 oz. Together this whole set weighs just under 1 lb.
