Vintage Floral Feed And Flour Sack Fabrics circa 1930s-1940s - Red Pink Blue - Sold Separately
{HISTORY}
As bright and airy as the loveliest of sunshine days, this batch of vintage floral feed and flour sack fabrics date to the 1930s and 1940s.
In absolutely gorgeous condition, each of these fabrics, with the exception of one, is in its original full sack form, which means they are stitched into a bag shape, enclosed on three sides with an open end on the 4th side, like a pillowcase. These fabric bags originally held household pantry staples like flour, sugar, rice, and grains and were very popular during the Great Depression and the war years when supplies were scarce and thriftiness was an art form.
Made of durable cotton, sewers of that era made all sorts of beautiful things out of feed and flour sack material. Clothing, pillows, curtains, quilts, bags, rugs, aprons, household linens... anything that was composed of cloth was an inspiration for a feed sack replication project.
This batch comes from a collector in Oregon who took such incredible care with these fabrics that they look practically brand-new. Bright and vibrant in color palette, each one is sold separately to ensure that each fabric is beloved and appreciated by its next caretaker. In our opinion, there is nothing worse than having to buy a lot of something when all you really want is one of something in the lot. And since these are beautiful time travelers of history, we don't want any piece to go to waste or the wayside.
All the fabrics in this batch feature florals and are comprised of blue, red, and pink color palettes. When selecting your favorite, please note the description photo and the information below, to make sure you are purchasing the fabric pattern that you love most.
