{HISTORY}

In the early 1950's, Universal Pottery introduced their Ballerina line - a graceful, elegant dishware collection that came in a variety of designer colors so that buyers could mix and match pieces with ease and confidence.  Available in shades of Chartreuse, Forest Green, Dove Gray and Burgundy, these color combos ensured eye catching combinations and their minimalist style ensured that they'd coordinate with other patterns no matter what the design.

Made in Cambridge, OH the Ballerinas were effortlessly convenient in the kitchen with their ability to go straight from fridge to oven in one felt swoop thanks to Universal's patented glazing process. Thanks to that attention to detail, this dishware line has traveled the decades beautifully,  without much wear and tear or signs of age.

{CONDITION}

In lovely vintage condition. There is one small chip on the underside of the lid that measures 1/8" inch in length and a pinpoint size mark on the top of the lid. Neither flaws affect the use of the covered dish in anyway and are barely noticeable. Please see photos for details.
