Vintage Pink Rose & Gold Dessert Bowls - Mix and Match Set of 4 - Shabby Chic Home
You have to develop a garden in the way that it's meant to be developed. Julie Andrews
{HISTORY}
This set of 4 mismatched dessert bowls is just about the prettiestĀ pairing of dishes this side of the rose garden. The collection features two rose patterned bowls, with scalloped edging and sides, and two wonderfully crazed vintage white bowls from Salem International Ironstone circa the 1960's. EachĀ bowl has gold edging around the rim to unify the set. Simple, graceful and timelessly stylish,Ā theseĀ bowls add a beautiful splash of color to any collection and make spring and summer dining tables come alive with the colors of the garden.Ā
{SPECIAL FEATURES}
- Colors contained in the collection include pale pink, berry, butter yellow, peach, spring green, mint green, grey, and gold.
- The two floralĀ bowls are unmarked, so exact age and/or pattern is not definite but most likely, due to colors and design, they were made between the 1950's and the 1960s
- The Salem International Ironstone bowls areĀ from the Symphony in Gold pattern and were made in England in the 1960s
- These bowls were hand-picked for their matching color and overall vintage appeal, making them a 100% unique collection.
{CONDITION}
All the bowls have a touch of shabby chic elements to them which adds unique and authentic character. There are light rub marks around the gold rims of all the bowls. Gorgeous crazing on the Salem International Ironstone bowls, and a small hairline crack on the rose bowl (the one with the roses placed around the sides of the bowl) which is next to a small chip on the chip. The crack is underneath the glaze so it doesn't affect the function of the bowl at all. Please see photos.Ā
{SIZE}
Each bowl measures 5" inches in diameterĀ x 1" inch in height.
{STYLE IDEA}
Lovely for tea parties, ladies luncheons, bridal showers, photo shoots or your own personal collection, these dessert bowls will bring a touch of beauty to mealtimes. Their petite size also makesĀ a lovely set of food bowls for cats, in case yourĀ little feline shares your same love of vintage!
