





Two Vintage Green Ceramic Plant Pots by Jay Willfred for Andrea Sadek - Made in Portugal circa 1990s
{HISTORY}
So stylish for year-round decorating, this vintage pair of green planter cache pots was made in Portugal in the 1990s for giftware importer Sadek.Ā Splashing onto the collectors scene in the 1930s, Sadek was a family-run business all the way up until it was purchased by Fitz & Floyd in 2015. Specializing in tableware, figurines, and assorted housewares, they were known throughout the 20th century for their high-quality collaborations with ceramic artists and manufacturers around the world.Ā
These two matching plant pots were part of Sadek's Jay Willfred division and were made in Portugal in the 1990s. Sitting somewhere on the color scale between celadon and springĀ green, they feature a classic design of berry studded greenery swags draped beneath a roped rim and ringed in a shell-like or leaf-like design at the base.Ā Ā
So pretty for mantle decorations, shelf-display, table centerpieces, and indoor garden accent pieces, these two accommodate plant containers up to 6"inches in diameter. They also make great vases for floral and branch bouquets as well as holders for succulent gardens and small topiary trees.
