Taylor Smith Taylor Mini Coffeepot - 1940s Floral Container

Taylor Smith Taylor Mini Coffeepot - 1940s Floral Container

To every thing there is a season...

{HISTORY}

Tumbling through time with the greatest sense of adventure, this mini coffeepot comes to the shop all the way from June 1948, where it was made in West Virginia by the 20th century pottery Taylor Smith Taylor. Along its travels through time, it lost its top making it tricky to ever make use again as a suitable coffeepot. This is a little bit of a travesty, as Taylor Smith Taylor mini coffeepots, ideal for individual service, are a very rare, very hard to find item in the land of vintage dishware. However, its not the end for this darling. That loss is really our gain nowadays because it has opened up the door for a whole new purpose. Meet your new flower vase and planter!

With its tall stature, pretty floral swatch and two hole opening, this is a gardeners delight - pretty for fresh flower clippings in summer and a small succulent garden in winter. By adding a dash of year round charm and color to a kitchen sill, cabinet or counter-top, she'll stretch your creativity as you discover all sorts of way to fashion a mini garden with her help.

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

- Tall height ideal for long roots or stems

- Floral swatch includes the colors yellow, green, blue, cherry, lavender, plum and peach

- Stamped on bottom with makers mark and date

{CONDITION}

Time worn character abounds here. There are no cracks but there is a small, old (soft to the touch) chip on the top rim near the handle and one on the bottom base. There is lots of random crazing  marks, staining on the inside and a small paint splotch on the back. Please see photos.

{SIZE}

Measures 5.5" inches (height) x 6" inches width (spout to handle) and an opening of 2.25" inches.

{STYLE IDEA}

Combine this 1940's gal with other vintage containers found in the garden section  of the shop and watch your indoor garden come alive with fresh style and pretty personality.
