Primitive Antique Handmade Copper Watering Can

Primitive Antique Handmade Copper Watering Can

{HISTORY}

Substantial in weight yet petite in size, this antique handmade copper watering can features a unique shape and a primitive style. Most likely inspired by French watering cans, the creator of this one crafted a fully functional garden tool made entirely of thick copper with a mid-size spout and a heavy handle.

Ideal for patio gardens, indoor plants, flower boxes, and seed starting, this can holds up to four cups of water. The heavily soldered seams are water-tight, so it doesn't leak, and its aged to perfection with lots of pretty green tarnish spots on the inside and outside.Ā

Since it's unsigned, we'll never know the maker, but its one-of-a-kind style gives it a unique personality among the watering can set. A true helper in the garden, and a conversation piece on the shelf, this primitive charmer adds instant history to your space and joy to your garden. Ā

{SPECIAL FEATURES}

  • HandmadeĀ
  • 100% copper material
  • 4 cup capacity

{CONDITION}

In beautiful antique condition, this watering contains authentic aging and wear marks indicative of its handmade provenance. There are no major dents or dimples in the copper, and the whole piece bears the perfectly imperfect aesthetic of non-uniform lines.

Both the spout and the handle are securely attached, although the bottom part of the handle, where it joins the can, has separated. Due to the sturdy thickness of the handle, this does not affect the use of the watering can - it can still be filled to the top and used in the appropriate manner without the risk of the handle falling off. Please see photos.

{SIZE}

Measures 5.75 inches (height) x 9" inches (width spot to handle) x 3.5" inches (diameter) and weighs 14.5 oz.
