Morning Glory Demitasse Cups and Saucers - Pair of Two

Morning Glory Demitasse Cups and Saucers - Pair of Two

Often recognized as a symbol of affection and fleeting moments, morning glories have been enchanting flower lovers around the world for centuries...

{HISTORY}

Thanks to this pretty pair of floral demitasse cups, your morning breakfast routine can become a source of enchantment too. Featuring a colorful garden of morning glories in shades of blue and pink nestled among bright green leaves, they offer matching patterns on both the cups and saucers.

In nature, morning glories bloom with the dawn and wither at the end of each day in order to make room for an entirely new batch of buds that will appear the following morning. While it is a shame that each individual blossom doesn't survive for longer than a day, morning glories are full of symbols that have resonated with us for hundreds of years. Life is fragile and made of fleeting moments, the morning glories remind us. In Victorian times, these flowers also symbolized love and affection, and depending on the shade of the blossom could even represent passion.

It makes sense that these botanicals would be a natural design fit for delicate coffee cups made to be enjoyed during a thoughtful moment in your day.  Whether you greet the sun first thing with a sip of espresso or you enjoy a coffee break in the middle of the afternoon, these cups help take you out of the hustle-bustle of life by inviting a moment of reflection. If you had just one day, what would you do with it? Who would you see? What would you say? Around here, we love that morning glories remind us to make each day count.
